Try Dowling Fitness out for FREE – we offer a no obligation free trial session to all 1 on 1 clients. It’s important that you like your personal trainer and you find him/her knowledgeable, competent and motivating. We understand the importance of trialling Dowling Fitness before you book in for multiple pre-paid sessions.
Personal Training
1 on 1 personal training sessions are generally carried out within a 15 minute drive of the Bayside region of Melbourne in outdoor settings or at a location of your choice (including your home). Most clients have between 1 and 3 sessions per week and all clients will be given small take home work tailored to their fitness levels. If you would like to train 2 on 1 or 3 on 1 then visit the small group sessions tab for more information.
All initial sessions are preceded by a 45 minute 1 on 1 health assessment and goal setting session at no extra charge. We also sit down with you every 4-6 weeks to reassess your goals and have a further review and update of your health assessment. You will receive support from your trainer in achieving your goals as well as unlimited telephone support.
Sessions are tailored to personal goals and fitness levels and each session is designed to add variety and maintain your interest. If you goal is to lose weight, tone up, gain strength, improve your general fitness or prepare for a sporting event then Dowling Fitness is for you.

Boxing Classes
Boxing for fitness is growing in popularity especially amongst the female population and it is great fun. If you haven’t tried it before you will be amazed how it gets your heart rate up and also how quickly you improve. The boxing sessions suit all levels of fitness and run in 4 or 6 week blocks twice a week and work out at $16 a session.
All Boxing class blocks must be paid for in advance for first timers or at first session for regulars.

We have had some enquiries about ladies only sessions and we plan to offer these in the near future. Please contact us if that would interest you and we will make sure you are the first to be informed.
GLOVES
We do supply gloves and focus pads and cotton inners but some customers tend to purchase their own for hygiene reasons. Dowling Fitness has good quality leather gloves than can be purchased for $65 and leather focus pads for $110. Please let us know if you wish to purchase a pair.
Outdoor Group/Bootcamp Sessions
Bootcamp can be a scary word for some people. We would prefer to call it Outdoor Group Training. For starters there will be no barking orders or extra reps for not doing something correctly. These sessions are designed to suit all fitness levels and you can essentially work at your own pace. In saying that we will push you so you can see the best results.
All Outdoor Group/Bootcamp sessions run in 4 week or 6 week blocks 2-3 times a week depending on the bootcamp. Prices work out at $16 per session which makes us not the cheapest but definitely the best value for money in Melbourne. All bootcamp blocks must be paid in advance for first timers or at first session for returners.

To book into a Bootcamp use the booking form or email bootcamp@dowlingfitness.com.au and specify which bootcamp you would like to book or enquire about. You will then be sent full details and payment information.
If you know you will be away for a period during the block either on holiday or with work and you let us know 72 hours in advance then we can arrange for that session ($16) to be held in credit for the next bootcamp block, boxing block or personal training session you book.
All Group Outdoor/Bootcamp sessions involve varied bodyweight exercises, medicine ball work, running, abdominal work, boxing, flexibility and much more to challenge your body and mind. Sessions are suited to all levels of fitness.

Small group sessions are a great way to have personal training at a reduced cost and still get a personalised service. We will still assess the goals of the individuals in the group as well of the group as a whole.
Contact us with any group size from 2 to 10 people and we will be more than happy to train at a location of your choice. Quite a bit of fun can be had with a group who know each other well and the support and encouragement only brings you closer as friends.

We have a body composition machine which can measure the following to track your progress and help tailor programs to your needs.

It is a great way to track your progress as your body shape changes and the test is non invasive and takes around 5-10 minutes.
